MVP

Last Saturday, the traditional "Colony Bowl" took place between the north ward (boo) and the south ward (yay!).

This powderpuff football game was like no other game I have ever played in. Lots was on the line. Our ward has been UNDEFEATED since the beginning of time.

Pressure?

YES

Expectations to live up to?

Definitely

Big crowd to cheer (or boo) you on?

Of course

This is just what I needed to have THE BEST game of my life!

That's right. I seriously played the best game of defense I have ever before played. I got not only a few sacks (which by the way is one of the greatest feelings in the world) but I also took a few girls out (as in tackled) and didn't even get penalized.

The crowd went WILD

and rooted for me even more

Which caused me to dive and reach for flags even more....adding to their entertainment. With my fierce and talented partner Acacia up front with me, we didn't let ANYONE pass by.

Now, i'm not trying to toot my own horn here, but seriously, stuff like this never happens to me. I got the game ball!

(and my mom and dad missed the game, so they requested a special blog update)

Needless to say, I still can't stop smiling.

And it's only slightly embarrassing when the bishop points you out a number of times in church as being the "defensive specialist."

(this really happened....i about died haha)

But hey, at least people in church now know who I am now, right?!
