Me and Koryl had a free afternoon today, so we decided to take a little walk in Hyde Park after a fabulous lunch of fish and chips at Diana's Cafe. We went to Kensington Palace and Garden and made our way to St. Mary Abbot's Cathedral. It was so pretty! Then we walked all over Hyde Park, eventually getting to Buckingham Palace and making friends with the police. We asked to take a picture with him and he said, "of course" *(and i might just add that he let us stand in front of the open gate and he told everyone else they couldn't block it so they had to stand to the side and get a crappy picture!). Then he asked where we were from and we said, "Idaho, USA" and he said we were the first Idaho Girls he had ever met. Anyway, after that we stared at the soldiers that were standing REAL still and tried to catch them twitching...sometimes I think they are made of wax. But then at the same time all of a sudden they started marching for a couple paces and then back to standing still.
We stopped at a lot of cool little memorial places and took some great pictures, but I can't load them tonight because the internet is too slow (and it doesn't help that everyone and their dog is trying to load pics too...) So, I will post them later. Tomorrow is the London Tower! Should be great!!
