Scotland

Well everyone, I am back at the Centre after an eventful week up north. It was so nice to get the change from London to Edinburgh, but after one week I was aching to get back "home!"

We made a million little "stops" along our way to Scotland, so here are some random pictures!

This is York Minster. Very Very pretty. Yes, we hiked the 275 steps to the top.

Then we visited some old Abbey ruins. This was REALLY cool because they haven't remodeled anything or done anything to change it. It has been left the same way it always was.

We like to consider ourselves models.

I think I kind of went camera happy because we were trapped in our coach for so long that day, it was freedom to finally get out

Okay, you probably won't believe me, but I promise I am telling the truth...I slept in THIS CASTLE! Harry Potter style. VERY cool!

We were supposed to find Hadrian's Wall. Yeah, it wasn't really it, but we did pass by some ruins of it on the bus. This was some fort that we acted like it was Hadrian's Wall.

And you can't go to Scotland without seeing Harry Potter's birthplace!

View from the top of the National Museum of Scotland. Let's just say we got through that boring museum QUICK. I am more of an "experience the culture that is outside NOW" person. I mean, museums are great, but after like 30 of them you get a little bored.

This was in Preston. They have a little section of a park that is dedicated to Mormon missionaries.

And the Preston Temple! It was such a great site and one of my favorites the whole trip.

We did have a few other pointless stops after the Temple, but everyone was mad about it. Lets just say that when you take a bus full of PMSing girls, take them to a cotton mill (because we don't have those in the US) INSTEAD of PEMBERLEY (Mr. Darcy's House), you might get some complainers. But hey, it was still a great vacation! Now i am just getting caught up on school work. Ugh.
