wales changed my life

It really did. I don't really have a specific reason why, but it was the trip of a lifetime. Wales is Europe's best kept secret. At least the UK's best kept secret. It is so beautiful. The pictures just can't do it justice. I think the only way to understand what I am saying is to go and see it yourself. Here is my lame attempt at doing Wales justice.

We arrived at the capital, Cardiff. This was the city life we experienced. Cool, but London was better I thought.
There is a big castle right smack dab in the center of town though. Pretty interesting.
We take our touring seriously.

Okay. I have just come to the conclusion that I am going to hate American chocolate when I get home and long for the chocolate here. I'm ruined. I really do think that the Chocolate Cake in Wales did something to my life. I'll never be the same.

We are fans of the bay at night. Even if it was a 2 hour walk for us. Guess we didn't need to feel guilty about the TWO pieces of chocolate cake each, eh?

Our trip consisted of a lot of this. We were nomads. Wanderers. Lost. Call it what you like, but it was still so chill and nice to not have set schedule.
Oh yes. This is Manorbier. We got off the train to this site. Exactly. NOTHING. We were dropped off into the middle of nowhere. No civilization for miles. Perfect. This would happen to us.
Again, we didn't mind the walk. Guess I can say I have now hitch-hiked.
It was totally worth it to see the sights.
Finally, the town. We thought.
Right below this cliff = ocean.
This is the city of Tenby. We went here to see the castles on the beach. Breathtaking.
Robyn, Erica, me and Koryl. We split off from the group.

It was just like the movies, only better.

Yes, we lived off of carmel digestives and biscuits.
Don't worry, we missed our bus. THE LAST BUS OF THE DAY. No big deal. We just looked rejected and a little depressed. Good thing the nice lady at Sansbury helped us out with getting a cab. And it was worth it (not only to save ourselves the ten mile walk) but to meet the crazy cab driver. He was hilarious. "Hey guys, how ya doin?" (He tried to talk in an American accent for us. Didn't do a bad job.)

We also had some adventures back at the hostel. But I like to keep this blog PG.

We met two Welsh men and a family from Oklahoma at our hostel. The were hilarious. I really haven't laughed that hard in a while. Those Welsh men are so witty and sarcastic. I was loving it. They recommended a divine ice cream place in Swansea that we just HAD to try. It was everything I have ever wished for.
Gross. End of trip pic.
Wales Changed My Life.
Lesson of the trip: Don't trust anyone. They usually don't know what they are talking about. aka people from our group
I do love the nice Welsh people though. They are so helpful.
