Happy Chinese New Year!

Yes, you read that right. Happy year of the rabbit! Well, technically it isn't for a few more days or something, but Auckland decided to celebrate it on Saturday. So we decided we needed to celebrate it as well.

We are pro's at figuring out the bus system now. Got there without a problem.
The festival was actually really really cool. I've never seen so many Asians before in my life.
I know I am not a photographer. This was my attempt at getting the market. Yeah, it was like a state fair with food that will clog the arteries and lots and lots of people.
Complete with dragon dancers.
And we found a booth that was giving out free samples of juice. Guava, passionfruit, kiwi, lychee, you name it. We visited that booth multiple times...and even ended up buying a thing of passionfruit juice because it was soooo good.
We had to try some of the food of course.
We tried some sticky rice in banana leaves. It was good! Not something I would eat everyday, but it was fun to try!

This was going to be a really cool picture....The dragon WAS right behind us....Until we clicked the picture and it ducked. Oh well.
On our way back to the bus stop we decided to stop by the park across the street. We saw lots of sheep, lots of trees, and lots of people playing cricket.
And decided to pose.

A lot of posing.

And mingling with the sheep.

Excuse my awkward Michael Jackson pose. Don't know what was going on there. Blame it on the rain. Anyway, we did get to walk in the field with the sheep. They were camera shy (and people shy for that matter) so we didn't every succeed at getting very close. I know, we are the dorky Americans. But at least some of the crazy Asians were doing it too.

Oh, one final thing.....do I really look like I am 18? I have had MULTIPLE people tell me I don't look at day over 18. Hello, I'm 22.
